Full fibre to the premises

How close does the double power socket have to be for full fibre to the premises, it says close but how close.

The Power Cord for the ONT is 1/2m long if that.

The one for the Hub is longer.

Nothing to stop you using a Power Extension Cable though.

Hi thanks  do you mean a power extension cable or one that extends the adaper cable like 2.1mm x 5.5mm DC Power Male to Female 12 Volt Power Extension Cable

Either. Although a mains extension lead will be simpler to source.

Is the ONT power connector a standard size, (2.1 x 5.5mm)?

I think that the SmartHub2's is a non-standard size, that is difficult to get hold of?

Sorry, I don't have FTTP so not sure of the sizes or even if all manufacturers models are the same. You are right about the hub having non standard dimensions.

hi the hub will be ok as it has quite a long lead, Still thinking about full fibre did have a good offer and was going to look at it when I came back from holiday. However not got that offer now have offers but not as good.

Offers come and go, thats life. Why do you think the ONT can't be placed near power sockets? It has nothing to do with where your present copper Master socket is if that what was you were thinking.

I thought the ont was placed on the wall inside from were it came in.

Not necessarily, thecable can be run on the outside to where you need the ONT and enter the propety there.
