So, he wasn’t aware of any local network issues then. Fibre does tend to either work or not work. It doesn’t suffer from the vagaries of line noise and SNR etc. like FTTC.
Which brings us back to power supply issues again.
Have you had any further problems since? Have you checked on the National Grid website for any local supply problems? If your neighbour had the same issue, it could be the mains supply. IT equipment does tend to be more sensitive to minor wobbles in the voltage than most electrical appliances, (although the big capacitors in modern PSUs usually copes with them).
I have a complete battery/solar install.
i constantly monitor the grid voltage and my CU voltage with homeassistant and shelly monitors
nothing has changed in years except the swap from FTTC to FTTP
there are no voltage events when the hub has issues. Ive checked
it seems to have been stable for the past 24 hours.
the openreach engineer did say that the next level engineer up the chain “could” look at the distribution splitters and check when each property has issues.
he didnt say they would, just that they could.
Sounds an interesting one then. Good that it's been stable for 24 hours.
I wish you luck. Hope you get to the bottom of it.
