"Good news! We’re now moving you over to Digital Voice, our new home phone service. To support the transition, your broadband will be upgraded, for free, to Full Fibre. And don’t worry, you won’t be entering into a new contract and your monthly price will remain the same.
To move you over to Digital Voice and Full Fibre, we’ll send an engineer at a time that works for you. They will swap any equipment over and make sure that everything works before they leave. Once the upgrade is complete, you can continue to use your home phone in the way you always have.
You do not need to purchase a new home phone, and your number will stay the same.
What happens next?
Openreach, on behalf of BT, will be in touch to arrange for an engineer to install Digital Voice and Full Fibre at your property.
Select a day that works for you for an engineer to carry out the work. Please book at your earliest convenience.
An engineer will come to your home to complete the upgrade. Then you can enjoy your new service."
At 78 years of age I don't wan't either of them just now!
When (if) Openreach ring can I tell them I don't want the move yet?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can possibly refuse the move to Full Fibre, but Digital Voice is happening whether you want it or not. The only difference you will notice with Digital Voice is where you plug your phone in.
Not sure why you would prefer flaky ancient copper to full fibre though.
