If Virgin have a fast line to my property does this = low priority for full fibre from Open Reach?

Go to solution

So as the subject header suggests, my question is - Virgin offer super fast full fibre to my home. Is this why on the Open Reach website my post code and property show as no current plans for full fibre to the property? Is my property/post code a low priority for this reason? Shame as I want to stick with BT.

No , areas that have VM available are not automatically at the back of the list as far as Openreach rollout plans ( BT are no different to any other ISP is determining where and when OR deploy their resources, in other words they have no say )
Some VM areas will have OR FTTP , some will not , obviously it’s impossible to upgrade everywhere simultaneously, but OR are building FTTP at a pace that outstrips the competition
