Internet goes down after receiving a call from 020 3007 9703

Hello all. I understand that this may sound like a strange question, but here goes. Every now and then our broadband connection drops out for a few minutes at a time. We have noticed a pattern where this seems to always happen after receiving a call from someone who immediately puts the phone down when you try to answer. I thought this was just a coincidence, but it happened again this morning so I tried to make a note of the number, which was 020 3007 9703. Is there any logical reason why this could happen? I appreciate this sounds like fantasy, but if anyone else has had this happen and knows a way to stop it happening I'd be most grateful.

Seems to be a widely reported dodgy number. No idea how it could cause a broadband drop but maybe just block it. If your phone can't do that then block it online with BT's Call Protect.

Certain types of line fault can be triggered by an incoming call, but not by a specific number.

Yes I think I'll block the number as it appears to be the same one every time. We have had an increased number of calls to the landline recently, but no other number appears to trigger this issue (as strange as it sounds).
