Re: Is it usual for Openreach just to not bother turning up or ringing on the day of the appointment
Thanks, usual excuses but luckily got a new appointment for a couple of weeks time which seems quicker than most re bookings get.
Any idea about compensation, I see it's supposed to be automatic but which one would it be?
If we don’t activate landline or broadband on the day we promised, you’ll receive £5.25 compensation automatically
Plus you’ll receive another £5.25 for every extra day you have to wait, not including the day your service is activated
You are eligible for compensation if your service isn’t activated by one minute to midnight on the activation date we sent by email or post.
or
If our engineer misses your scheduled appointment or cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, we’ll give you £26.24
We'll pay you £26.24 for every other missed appointment.

You should be entitled to both elements as far as I'm aware. Any missed appointments and the delayed install.
