Hi I have just moved into a new build and I seem to only be able to get broadband from BT. Where I moved from I was with someone else and had a tv and broadband package. They have said that they can only install tv at the new place as its not registered for broadband.
I've been told that the property is registered but still I can't get broadband.
Anyway I went on a few broadband providers websites today and did a broadband check with them and all but BT said I couldn't get broadband here. Only BT said i could. I then searched again on the same sites but this time I changed my address to my neighbours address and all providers said that they could have broadband.
I'm really confused. Why can I only get BT but my neighbour can seem to go with anyone?
Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.
Use the address checker on the page below, and post the results, but edit out your address details first.
Just clicked the link but I haven't got a landline number and I can't find any of the other things it's asking for
Use the address checker link. It will need your postcode etc.

if a new build do you have an ONT installed
What lights are showing on that unit?
Then you should be able to place an order with BT Retail.
As for other providers, you would have to ask them, as this forum is for BT Retail customers only.
Its Openreach that provide the network, not BT Retail.
