Can anyone help please.
We are being upgraded to fibre but not yet complete. I was told by the engineer we should have had a lead that goes from the box to the back of the router sent in the post. We haven't received anything, but my biggest bugbear is trying to contact BT about this, I am deaf and can't use the phone and when I try going through the website I go round in circles. Does anyone have a foolproof way of contact so I can message a human.
Many thanks.

Any standard cat 5e or cat 6 ethernet cable will do. You can even get them from supermarkets like Asda today. Probably quicker and easier than trying to get one from BT.
Thanks
You're welcome.
Just in case you're not aware, it goes from port 4, (the WAN port), on the hub to the box they put on the wall, (known as an ONT or Optical Network Terminal). You also need to make sure the hub is set for FTTP mode.
Edit: If it's a new Smart Hub 3 the WAN port and port 4 are separate. You need the WAN port.
Hi @suepip66
Welcome to the community. I can see you've had a couple of helpful answers on this.
If you do need to contact us about that missing cable, there's a live chat service on our contact page. Just head to that page and hit the 'message now' button to connect with our team. There are also some extra support services available on our Here for You page.
Hope you get sorted.
