Moved into converted property - No infrastructure

Hello,

I have just moved into a new property which is a converted building. It appears as if there is no network infrastructure to the property, my address doesn’t appear on any ISPs website and there is no telephone ports in the house.

does anyone know the best course of action from here?

thanks in advance

Re: Moved into converted property - No infrastructure

As this is a BT retail forum, I can only assume you wish to have BT as your provider.

That being so, call them and place an order.

Re: Moved into converted property - No infrastructure

If this is a recent development ask the developer what provision was made for broadband,  if the developer is no longer available to ask , and there is no obvious infrastructure around the property, and the address doesn’t show on any ISP ( that uses Openreach ) ordering portal , suggests that the developer never employed Openreach on that ‘site’ , there is no compulsion for them to do that , and if there is no Openreach network, by extension there will be no BT service available….perhaps the developer had an arrangement with another network provider and not  Openreach .

You’d have to place an Order with whichever CP you want to go with and when they place an Order with Openreach they’ll send a Surveyor/Planner out to ascertain how they can provide service and how much it will cost.
