New BT Fibre 2 User but no equipment

I have recently signed up for the Fibre 2 Broadband deal and I am due to transfer over from Sky to BT on Monday (it is now Saturday 11:30am).

However, at present, I have no equipment or passwords to even use BT broadband and when trying to track the order, Royal Mail claim that my package does not exist.  An issue for Royal Mail I know.

In lieu of not getting a Smart Hub 2 in time to use the Broadband Service, is there any equipment I could use to access BT Broadband, and are there any guides on how to set this up without a BT Smart Hub password, or am I going to have to wait months with no broadband for Royal Mail to decide my package does exist and to deliver it?

Re: New BT Fibre 2 User but no equipment

The briefest of searches of the forum would reveal that any third party router capable of PPPoE (virtually all) can be used with the generic credentials of username bthomehub@btbroadband.com and password BT.

In the meantime, give customer services a call to find out what is happening

I usually suggest a look on Facebook Marketplace. If you've taken Digital Voice &/or FTTP, then you'll need a Smart Hub 2. Otherwise the original Smart Hub or Home Hub 5 will get you going.
