Hi all. Apologies if this is either a dumb question, or if it’s already been covered, but……
I’ve recently upgraded to full fibre and had new wiring to the house. I now have black cable tacked onto the magnolia front of the house, it’s not very well done aesthetically - and sticks out like a sore thumb!
So two questions:
1. Can it be rerouted along the base of the front door (in trunking) so it’s less obtrusive,
2. Can I paint over it to blend it in a bit better?
Many thanks in advance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you want it moved you would need to contact BT who in turn would need to contact Openreach who in turn would bill you for moving it.
There is no reason regarding it affecting your broadband if you painted over it provided you did not damage the cable however the cable belongs to Openreach and they may object although I doubt it but if it were damaged they would bill you for any repair work needed.
Thanks, GG.
I’ll get in touch with BT and get it rerouted and I can then check with the engineer about over painting. Obvious, really!
cheers
