Evening all, so today we had a power cut and have now lost the fibre connection. I've spoken to BT who are sending out a new hub on Monday. However doing some research I'm wondering if it could be the open reach box. The PON light is off permanently. I'll try to explain the series of lights.
Openreach box; Power green, port 1 slow flashing green.
Hub; solid orange
After around a minute or so
Openreach box; power still green, all 4 port lights flash green once
Hub; 3 flashes purple
This then repeats over and over.
Any ideas please. Thanks James.

The ONT should have the PON light lit , steady green , if it’s flashing green there is no authentication at the headend ( but an optical oath exists) if it’s off the LOS ( loss of signal ) would normally be on ( so no ‘light’ or insufficient light level bring received, so a physical issue, broken fibre for example ) , your symptoms don’t seem follow this normal pattern, basically the PON light or LOS light should be on , so your ONT may be faulty….try powering cycle or full reset , but it may need replacing….
