Re: No wifi

Do you actually mean "no WiFi" or no broadband connection to the internet?
If you have a BT hub/router, and it's showing a blue light then you have a broadband connection and the problem must be either with the WiFi output from the hub or some internal issue within your house.
If the hub is showing another colour (orange or flashing purple) then you do indeed have a broadband outage.

Re: No wifi

Connect your games console via Ethernet until the WIFI Issue is fixed.

And before you say it, if it isn’t in the same room just pick it up and move it to the same room until the update has finished.

Re: No wifi

Good morning @Farmerama.

Whilst we don't have technical support guides available through the night, there are still a range of support options available should you have some connection trouble.

As a first step, we'd always recommend giving our automatic fault checker a try; this will guide you through a range of troubleshooting steps and run a check on your line.

Should we be unable to resolve things from there, we will either help you arrange an engineer appointment, or a call back from one of our Guides once available.

Re: No wifi

But the OP still hasn't clarified whether he/she has a WiFi outage or a broadband outage.
If the latter, then connecting the games console by ethernet cable to the hub won't help.

Re: No wifi

The OP has totally unrealistic expectations from a residential internet service. It is almost certain that by WiFi they mean broadband. They are paying peanuts for a residential service yet expect a business level SLA.
