One overhead cable servicing three properties

Go to solution

We are purchasing a property that is served by a FTTC connection. On visiting today we discovered that one overhead cable comes from the cabinet to one of the prop ties but then it is split three ways. How does this work with connection speeds? Is the estimated speed on that line split between the three properties? If it is, can we request our own line is fitted?

It may be one 'cable' but it will consist of multiple pairs of wires serving the individual properties. Copper lines are not shared.

Thanks, I understand that part, so that would suggest the speed wouldn't be an issue as it's not "shared"
