I've just had a visit from a BT engineer to come look at a reoccuring problem on our standard fibre network. After she was done we were talking about the lack of FTTH in our area and she said that BT were currently in the area working on the infrastructure for it. But on the BT/openreach website it doesn't even have our area in the plans for it. Who is more likely to be right? Surely they ain't gonna be building infrastructure for it if they don't even have plans for it to go live yet? But then also wouldn't the engineer be the most likely to know what's actually going on in the area.
Try checking here. How is your existing connection provided underground or from poles?

@Littlepace It's more likely the engineer was referring to your town/village rather than your road, that's why you road might not show as planned yet, just keep checking on regular intervals.
