Finally got through to a "human" to talk to me.
The "better than new customer price" on offer was just that by £1 per month ! which I rejected & after 20 mins or so of "negotiating" I took the offer of 500mb (EE) deal @ 78p per month less than my "old" contract was.
Installation date 9 days only wait with a choice of "AM-PM"
