Painfully slow upload speed since installation

Go to solution

Hi

Looking for advice on what to do next about my connection. Since moving from fttc to fttp mid December my upload has never kept the upload guarantee (10Mbps for my package). Download has been great at 150 consistently but my upload has only synced briefly twice at 20. Once after a reboot and the other time on the first time my replacement router synced.

On install it was slow and I was advised to contact BT which I did. I've just had a 5th engineer visit booked (couple of no shows) one external cleared and another where they installed a new ONT and the best I've managed to sync at a couple of times now is 2. Generally it's been less than 1.

There is minimal drop off between wireless and ethernet when doing tests.

If the download was bad I could understand why it's being looked at as a line fault but it's been perfect. Seen a few similar posts so hoping for a bit of advice?

Hi @Rolpheroo I'll send you a private message in a moment so you can get in touch with the Moderators. We'll need to ask Openreach to check the upload profile.

Hi @Rolpheroo, how's your upload performing now since the engineer visit last week?

Hi

Engineers couldn't see any fault with the installation or lines connected to the property. They said I was one of a few customers connected into the exchanges new equipment and there seems to be a master fault there with no set fix date.

It was synced fast at one point yesterday:

Then dropped again in the evening and stayed that way this morning:

Did a power cycle reset but no joy:
