Request ONT Move

Where is the CSP in relation to the bedroom and lounge? As we have no idea, If from the CSP to the ONT is a short distance then moving the ONT might result in a long cable on the outside of the house from the CSP to lounge. If that was the case it might be as easy and less expensive to run your own Cat6 (external) cable from bedroom to lounge and use that for ethernet.

So are you saying to use a cat cable from the small ONT and have it run through from the bedroom to the lounge?
Is that possible because I have the red WAN cable going from the ONT box to the EEHUB, so I'm thinking it wouldn't be possible to move the hub to the lounge?

Of course, the red cable is just a cat5e cable so just replace it with a longer one, up to 90metres is possible, and relocate the router wherever suits your needs, not forgetting you'll also need a socket/extension lead for the router power

The CSP is the grey external box where the external fibre cable is spliced to the internal fibre cable.

@sea2dog  It is definitely possible, it would obviously look much tidier and neater if run internally and hidden in the wall/floor/ceiling - but given that your house is probably fully decorated the disturbance that would cause is unlikely to be worth it (let along the cost of redecorating!). Running the cable from the bedroom out through the wall and around the house to the lounge entering where it would be convenient for you just like Openreach would do if they were installing and old telephone line, if fairly routine. You could have a Cat6 socket on each end attached to the wall/skirting and then a patch cable just like the red one you have from the ONT to the socket in the bedroom and one from the socket i the lounge to the router.  The alternative would be to have a CAT6 plug on each end of the cable and plug that into the ONT and router, not as neat in my opinion and more difficult to fix if the end gets damaged.

I tried using the BT Mini Connector Kit, plugged in where the router is and the second connector in the lounge, it has the connection on my phone constantly showing as excellent and the speed check is what I'd be expecting.

I have just one other device plugged into the connector in the lounge.
