Hi,
I've recently had FTTP installed. The download speeds are ok, still not where I would expect them, but the upload speed is really bad.
Currently getting upload throughput of around 1.5mb and my upload profile is set to 115mb.
Anything I could try?
Regards,
William
Are you testing the speed using a direct Ethernet connection between your computer and the BT Home Hub?
Wireless is no good to run this test.
Hi Keith,
Yes direct connection via ethernet cable.
I assume its the BT Smart Hub 2?
How long has your connection been activated?
Normally the default upload parameter is 20Mbs, until a change is sent to the home hub to alter it.
Your upload seems much lower, so initially I would try a full factory reset of the home hub, just in case there is an issue with the default configuration. Then test it again.
What speed does the BT app report?
https://www.bt.com/about-my-bt-app
Yes new Smart Hub 2 connected.
The connection was activated yesterday (29th April).
The latest speed test was 328mb down and 2.54mb upload.

William.
Did you factory reset the home hub?

Is your computer capable of fast speeds and has a 1Gb network card, connected with a Cat5e or better, Ethernet cable?
Try a different speed test https://speedtest.btwholesale.com/
Select 500/1000mb option.
Yes factory reset of the Smart Hub has been done with no improvement.
Yes the devices are capable of 1gb and are connected with a cat5e cable.
Leave it a couple of days to see if the upload speed improves once the profile on the Smart Hub 2 is updated
If its still the same, then a moderator can be asked to look at it.
Ok Keith, I will do that.
Thanks for your help so far.
Regards,
William.
