Smart Hub 2 vs 3

Hi there. I'm a week or so away from having my broadband upgraded to full fibre. BT have just sent me Smart Hub 2. Should I be asking them for Smart Hub 3?

you can ask CS 03301234150 but SH3 is currently issued to new customers.  The SH2 will work perfectly well with your FTTP upgrade

Sorry you've missed the opportunity 

Before placing the order you should have insisted on the latest tech 

Well done your now stuck with a router from 2019

If you don’t need a phone line, just buy your own router, they’re cheap enough. It’ll likely be more advanced than the garbage ISP’s churn out and you’ll have much more control over what you can do with it.
