Hi, We currently have BT FTTP with a digital landline and a WiFi connected burglar alarm. We also have BT mobile Sim only packages a nd btinternet Email addresses. I am going to have to switch to EE sooner or later. Can I keep the same landline number? What happens to the btinternet Emails? I think that dealing with the burglar alarm and mobiles should be relatively easy.
Thanks all.

when your contract renewal is due then contact BT and switch to EE - that avoids the sorry your leaving letter and any possible termination penalties. you should keep your phone number and email address
You can just stay with BT as BT is no longer being dropped as a consumer brand. The migration to EE has been shelved.
When did that happen and why no announcement?

You don't have to switch to EE. The CEO, said that you can stay with BT if desired.
I renewed about 2 weeks ago and stayed with BT. Initially there plan was to not force you to move to EE but at some point in the future this would be the only option. Looks like BT have had a change of heart and now keeping BT products for consumers rather than focusing on just business.

That was always the case. The Customer Service Reps said you had to move, no doubt because they were on commision, but if you insisted on staying with BT you did not have to move at that time.
