Thinking of switching from Sky FTTP to BT FTTP, a few queries.

Go to solution

Hi,

I currently have Sky FTTP service and am looking at switching to BT FTTP and have a few queries:

1. Is BT broadband support UK based ?

2. Can you use your own router ?

3. Do BT block or restrict any TCP/UDP ports ?

4. Any idea if much downtime when switching ?

Thanks for any info you can provide!

Regards.

yes

yes but you will probably get digital voice so if you want to use your landline then you must connect BT SH2  if you don't use landline then no problem

3. Do BT block or restrict any TCP/UDP ports ?

no

4. Any idea if much downtime when switching ?

FTTP TO FTTP should be quick that day

Thanks for any info you can provide!

Regards.
