Ultrafast full fibre only available as a new customer, not existing customer.

Hello,

I received an email from Openreach 5 days ago saying that ultrafast full fibre is now available in my area, yet as an existing customer it does not give me the choice to upgrade to it.

If i "sign up" as a new customer, the option is available though (as it is with other providers that offer it).

I've tried phoning BT but the people have been just say 'oh it takes a few days to filter through' - is that definitely correct, they don't seem very confident when they say this - I had originally phoned on the same day I received the email from Openreach and was promised a call back on Monday but i didn't get anything?

Has anyone else experienced this when full fibre became available to them?

Thanks!

Just to clarify, does you address now show FTTP products when you use the address checker on any Openreach broadband provider's website (including BT) as a new customer?
