Unresolved fault

Several rural properties along one lane just outside Storrington RH20 2EW have experienced a broadband outage for over 2 weeks now since 7th August. No-one seems to be able to find out the location or nature of the fault. BT keep saying the fault is known and will be repaired within 2 days but nothing ever materialises. Where can we get answers please?

Re: Unresolved fault

The only way you can try to get answers is to keep pestering BT. This is a customer to customer forum so we have no more knowledge of the issue than you do - and most likely less.

Re: Unresolved fault

If you put the first half of your phone number in here:

https://status.zen.co.uk/broadband/

it will tell you if Openreach have a fault logged.

(If you don't have a phone, just entering the area code may be enough).

Re: Unresolved fault

It’s highly unlikely that everyone affected by a network problem is going to be a BT customer,  so only the BT customers affected should be asking BT for an update ( obtained from the network provider Openreach ) customers of other providers , obviously should ask their own providers , not BT .

Re: Unresolved fault

@vivdoussy  Good luck! However, it seems BT don’t even know how to remove a Telecare flag from someone’s account, so you might be in for a long wait.

Re: Unresolved fault

There is only a one in five (20%) chance that BT are the provider of the people affected by this Openreach issue  , the OP doesn’t even make it clear if they are even a BT customer themselves and affected by this , to bring up a completely irrelevant point about a Telecare issue affecting a unrelated customer on on different post is  , is nonsensical in this context.
