Re: Very Low Speed After Reconnection

Thanks, the rates have been stuck for 48 hours now.

I installed the HH5 just now to get access to the logs/stats but it's behaving exactly the same as the MODEM I had for the previous 2 days.

Re: Very Low Speed After Reconnection

It looks very much like one wire is disconnected. Do you have dial tone, broadband will work with one wire, telephony won't.

Re: Very Low Speed After Reconnection

The voice phone line is working well with low noise.

We had a line fault.  That is fixed now but it's been two days and stuck solid at 3.5Mbps.

The fault took almost 3 weeks to fix due to delays and being under the road...

I've just spoken with a BT agent and he's arranged an engineer visit for next Saturday(!).

I suggested that the line was most likely not the issue and this was more likely to be configuration related in their equipment but he said he was getting a low speed from the exchange to the cabinet and that the system had advised him to send an engineer!

The automated nature of BT's systems has been one of the worst parts of this experience.  Right from the start with it deciding we had a slow connection rather than no connection and not being able to interact with it except via BT agents over the phone...
