WiFi fully losing connection when 2 ethernet ports are being used

Go to solution

We have the BT Smart Hub 2 and FTTP and using the Ethernet port 1 is completely fine, however, whenever i plug something also into the Ethernet ports 2 or 3 whilst something is plugged into 1, it makes my WiFi lose connection. As soon as i unplug the ethernet from port 2 or 3 the WiFi instantly reconnects.. I kind of need to use more than one port so what can i do here and why is it disconnecting?

have you tried a factory reset of the BT hub by pressing the recessed button on back and holding for 20/30 secs until hub lights flash.  if that does not clear problem phone CS 03301234150 and request replacement hub

Yeah i have factory reset the hub many times tbh, and fully unplugged everything for 10 min and it’s still doing it.

Tbh we’ve had so many issues with this box, the amount of times we wake up and the box just isn’t connected to the internet is crazy. We also get an insane amount of lag when gaming, so do you think i should call for a replacement?

From the problems you described I would phone CS and request replacement
