"Connected with no Internet"

I lost internet on Tuesday this week, and the router light is still orange.  The router config page says connect no internet and the lights on the ont are the same as usual ( PON, LAN & Power all green) so bt sent me a mini 4g hub (which is useless and does not work) and said engineer would come today...

The engineer came today, said the issue is with my account as its connected to the network, but he also mentioned the ont is faulty as the ethernet port is loose.  He said someone would be in touch within the hour to arrange for openreach to fit a new ont, and that the account side would get fixed as well. 

Its been 2 hours now and the fault tracker has been tagged as fixed and i have notbheard anything from BT or OpenReach. Having spent the week without internet, unable to work i am getting somewhat frustrated, as I have lots of work to do before Christmas, the mini hub they sent me is ridiculously slow when I can access the internet but 90% of the time i cant connect.

I am sorry to hear of the issues you have been having with your connection and that they were not resolved by the engineer visit, I understand that will definitely be frustrating.
