BT Roam like home

Arrived in France 4 days ago but have been unable to connect to any local mobile network despite being assured by BT before departure that Roam like home was enabled. What could be the problem?

Make sure you have set a spending limit before connecting. It can be any value ie£5

Hi, thanks for the suggestion but I'd already set a limit of £30. I must apologize as I can sometimes receive and send texts and emails and use WhatsApp etc but I cannot make outgoing calls, which is the big problem.

The most obvious is that you haven't switched data roaming on in settings?
