can i have two mobiles with different numbers in a Family Sim only deal?
i know this is probably a really basic question to most users but we are new to this
Hi @bonesticks, yes you can, this is what the Family Sim plan was designed for.
Each number has their own allowance, the allowance is the same for both numbers and you get a discount for having more than one sim, it can however be cheaper to have 2 different sim plans, it all depends if you have the same data needs, if you do then go for the Family sim plan, if someone uses more data than the other, get 2 seperate plans instead.
Any other questions, just post back and someone will help 🙂
we are very light users - previously had 1 mobile on Pay As You Go which used around £40 a year maximum of top-up - we don't plan to use much data, it's mostly for texts so most plans, bundles etc look overpriced for our needs
i don't understand the difference between a Sim and and Allowance - from what you say it sounds like i have to have a SIM with allowance for each phone - we just want to pay a small amount to cover both phones - is there a plan which does that?

All sim only plan come with unlimited minutes and texts, just pick the data allowance you need, this is a per month allowance, use it or lose it, nothing carries over.

Allowance refers to the amount of data you can use each month.
As you're both light users, the Family sim plan is the right choice, currently £14 per month if you have BT broadband, each month you get 4GB data each and unlimited minutes/texts, this is the cheapest because having them without the Family sim saving is £16 per month.
It's also advisable to set a spending cap when you order, this means you won't incur large bills if you accidently go over the data allowance, you can set the spending cap at £0 or any value you choose.
I hope that makes sense, if not post back 🙂
