@farrellcsun I've just read your "migration shambles" thread. Your experience sounds horrendous. Certainly food for thought before making the switch from BT to EE
@marco806 Thanks. Similar to you, I had hoped to simply renew my BT broadband online without human intervention, which I thought would be a) simpler and b) avoid having to also discuss my BT mobile contract. Sadly when logging into my BT account to view "my broadband deals" the prices quoted were far from competitive, at around £40pm at the lower end of the full fibre speed range.
The link to the EE broadband offerings were better priced but reports of switches from BT to EE 'going wrong' put me off somewhat. Additionally I get a £5 discount on my BT mobile price by virtue of having BT broadband. I've lost the will to live in trying to find out whether this £5 discount will remain if I switch my broadband to EE (as BT it seems would prefer me to do).
I pay £39.99 for full fibre 500...its still substantially more than the cityfibre competition in my area, can get 900 for £27 per month, but i decided to renew this time.
Probably wont next time.....I got a mobile (double data) increase when i moved my mobile from BT to EE, but tbh, there are great deals at EE mobile irrespective of whether you have broadband with EE/BT.
£12 for unlimited everything, with speeds capped at 100 and free EU roaming is a great deal, and as far as im aware if you ask you will get it for either £12 per month or £13 per month.
