Leaving BT Broadband and Phone, can I keep my BT Mobile contract?

I rang up to give 30 days notice to cancel my broadband and phone line today and couldn't get a straightforward answer from customer services apart from "BT Mobile is closing, you'll have to move to EE" and was pressured to take out a 24 EE Mobile month contract, which I declined.

I know I'll lose my £5 discount but will my mobile contract end in 30 days too?

I've been out of contract for a year or so and on a monthly rolling contract now as far as I know.

I'd already requested a pac so it wouldn't get cancelled there and then.

Thanks in advance

You should keep your mobile on 30 day rolling contract. Whether you actually do remains to be seen.

As an aside, are you moving to an alt net who doesn’t use Openreach infrastructure or not having broadband at all? If neither, you shouldn’t be cancelling anyway.

Re: Leaving BT Broadband and Phone, can I keep my BT Mobile contract?

I've moved to Fibrus Full Fibre 500 as BT/EE don't offer it my area yet. I asked them not to close the BT lines (which they have just started doing apparently, you used to have to cancel yourself), as I'm going to attempt to move my phone number to a cheap voip service.
