How do I request a warranty replacement/repair for a mobile phone purchased from BT's online shop?

My Pixel 6 Pro has a problem with the touch screen, there is a area that runs from the top of the screen to the bottom in the centre (inline with the front facing camera) that no longer responds to touch. I've used a screen checker and it confirms this dead area. I've gone through all of the fault finding that Google Mobile support can suggest including a hard reset and the problem persists. They've confirmed the unit is under warranty, but will take 8-10 days to fix it.
