RCS not recognising ported mobile number

Since migrating from BT Mobile I have not been able to get RCS to recognise that I've ported my number across to the new EE SIM card. I have asked about this on various community forums and checked on the web but have yet to find a solution. I've tried several things including removing the automatic verification status option etc but nothing seems to resolve the issue.

Any help greatly appreciated.

For what it's worth, I have an Xperia 1ii (Android v.12).

Thanks for your time.

Re: RCS not recognising ported mobile number

Hey there @everybodyhatesChris, thanks for reaching out to us about this!

I can see you've also posted on the EE Community about this as well, this will definitely be the best place to get further advice on this.

If you continue to struggle, it's definitely worth reaching out to their support team so we can make sure the migration here has fully completed.

Re: RCS not recognising ported mobile number

Thanks for getting back to me, Peter.

I know the migration has fully completed in so far as being able to make/receive calls and SMS is concerned. The phone identifies the correct number within settings and displays EE Wifi-Calling on the home screen.

I have followed advice from everything such as Reddit and other community threads to specialist technology sites and 150. The advice is generally the same:

Clear data in messages and Carrier Services

Switch Airplane mode on and off

Restart phone and enable RCS Chats

Regards,

Chris

Re: RCS not recognising ported mobile number

Hi @everybodyhatesChris

Thanks for coming back to us.

It sounds like you have tried everything to see if you can get this working and now we would need to run some troubleshooting with you to see what could be causing this.

If you give us a call on 150, our tech guides will run through this with you to help get this sorted 🙂

Let me know how you get on.

Leanne.
