Used duel sim for data abroad but still charged by BT daily rate?

Hi,

I bought a dual e sim when in the US on holiday to save money and I used the data on that for the time there. I switched my BT mobile data off but still charged for 10 days at £6 a day. Anyone know if this is correct and why that is as from what I understood I would only use the data from the Esim. Also on my bill it shows that zero data was used for those 10 days.

thanks

It depends on your phone and the supplier, you may be being charged on a per day basis not for the data but just because the phone is telling the network where you are.

If you want to buy a foreign sim card it is better to buy a physical sim card and change your existing one for that one so there is no confusion.
