None of the keypad options for the number menus work on voicemail using iPhone on iOS 18.1.
I can’t clear the voicemail red spot alert.
I’m abroad in the UAE.
Good morning @Apial 😊
Welcome back to the BT Community forums!
Usually if you're abroad, the way to access your voicemail would be to dial your own number, then during the greeting press the * key to interrupt this.
You do need to have set up a PIN previously to access this though, and it's not possible to connect via 1571 as you would when in the UK.
You can find more details on this on our help page here.

I tried the above. The voicemail said “3” to delete. It didn’t work , nor did 1,2,4, or *.
You can hear the tone change, but it is not recognised. I even tried a long press. So far I’ve spent over £25 trying to get rid of this message. So I’ll just have to ignore it until I can get back to the UK in a few months.
After 30 days the voicemail will auto delete.
I'm glad to hear you're able to access this @Apial, are you able to listen to it successfully too, and it's just the delete option that's not working?
You're correct that this should eventually be deleted, but I'd hate to think that you've spent so much trying to get this cleared.
Once you're back in the UK, I'd definitely recommend giving our customer care team a call, and they'll be able to take a closer look into the experience you've had here.

@Apial I’m with Smarty using the Three network and had a similar situation. IOS18 installed visual voicemail which is on by default. When you have the phone app open click on the voicemail button, bottom right, and if there is a list of call(s) then these are the visual voicemails and you can read, listen and delete from here. You can turn visual voicemails off in the phone settings.
Edit: When your phone is switched off or out of signal your voicemail will be on the normal BT voicemail so you could end up with visual voicemail and ordinary voicemail.
