APPLES iOS RED ARROW SCREEN SHARE

Anyone who has an APPLE product using iOS and who has contacted APPLE SUPPORT may be aware of the facility to Screen Share !

If you agree to this course of action you will see a RED ARROW which they control on your screen….

The Advisor cannot change anything on your device but can guide you around the iPhone or iPad to assist you in changing settings or explaining how and why the device can be modified to achieve a satisfactory result….

Wouldn’t it be great if BT / EE were to invest in this technology to help the customer over any future issues that they might encounter !

Thought for the day : Describe a paper clip !!!

Re: APPLES iOS RED ARROW SCREEN SHARE

Apple did not invent screen sharing - on a GUI that ability dates back to PARC and GRX.  But it's a device/service capability, so it needs to be on the device the user is using such as their mobile, or computer, not the router.  And surprise, surprise, not only is it there on many Apple Products, but can be enabled on Windows and even many Linux devices!  On Android, it's down to either the manufacturer or a user install - but it's there.  And it's much more flexible (even on Apple products) than the limited demonstration you've witnessed.

I only learn by making mistakes and owning up to them - boy do I learn a lot!

Re: APPLES iOS RED ARROW SCREEN SHARE

I totally understand what you are saying and wholeheartedly agree with you …..

The point that I was making is the my @@btinternet.com email address has been under scrutiny by BT since last Summer due to multiple issues with the BT Email App and what it does what it shouldn’t and doesn’t do what it should…..!!!!

The App has SO many problems that in my opinion BT should take it down completely and not reissue it until it is Perfect or as near the Perfect as possible !!!

Every day / week / month there seems to be yet another thing/s to be investigated / resolved …..

I can understand why Forum Members advice is to ditch it and start elsewhere !!!
