Avatar image size

Hi, Just joined, the image I uploaded for my avatar comes out VERY small.  No sizing criteria given in the help.

Would someone let me know what the avatar image criteria (inc. sizing) are please,  Regards,  Ed

The size of the avatar circle is preset for everyone
