Installation damage
I live in a ground floor maisonette and I recently had super fast broadband installed. The engineer (who I think was actually with Openreach) drilled through an internal cavity by my front door to the outside of my property. Over the weekend i've noticed a wet patch in the hallway underneath the entry point, this was accompanied by a very loud whooshing noise from the inside of the cavity when the upstairs flat unleashed the contents of their washing machine. I have a horrible feeling that the engineer has drilled through the flat above's down-pipe. This would maybe explain why he was there for 6hrs on the installation date. What is the protocol in this situation, does anyone know?
