Hi All, I have a farm property that has three BT phone lines installed one on the yard one in the office and one in the house. All have different contracts with broadband. Our village is currently undergoing conversion to fttp. As a result we place three orders for the upgrade and switch to digi voice. Two of the lines got upgraded no problem. The third one, which is the house phone and a line that has been in use here for 30 plus years, has not. After a lot of calls to various bt and open reach depts we are told we cannot get this upgrade because we dont have an NAD key for it. At one point we were told that there has been a mistake made in one of the other instals. What kind we have no idea. As a result our order was cancelled out of hand with no discussion or prior warning.
Can anyone suggest what we or the suppliers need to do to get us back on track. We are most aggrieved to find we are without a way forward through no fault of ours.
This is not a unique problem, try searching for 'NAD Key' from the search bar above

Thanks Guru, I am aware it is a problem for a great many people with whom I sympathise of course. What I really dont get is why there is no NAD key in existence for my house which clearly meets all the necessary criteria and, if there has been a mistake in some way, not of our making, why has no attempt been made to correct it or maybe tell us what it is so that a solution can be found.
To just cancel our order in such a high handed way is not goingx to solve anything.
