Netomania

Netomania have been cold calling our street recently, saying we will lose the internet for a few days while they carry out major works, and would we like to join them to avoid that inconvenience. Can they do this, just cut off the internet on the basis of knocking on our door, leaving no literature, and with nothing from Openreach or their contractors M J Quinn?

Re: Netomania

The very fact they are telling you that joining them will avoid the inconvenience should be sufficient to tell you it is a "sales tactic". If their Internet stays on why would yours need to be turned off.

They can not just turn off your Internet. They would have to involve Openreach if they were going to do that and in turn your Internet Provider would then inform you if there was going to be any outage.

Re: Netomania

Should they call again , you can accurately call the salesperson a liar, because they have lied to you .
