Road Closure -Urgent!!

Go to solution

I am trying to get in touch with someone at BT regarding an urgent matter, following advice I have received from Dumfries and Galloway Council, who have now directed me to you.

I have attempted to call but have been unable to reach anyone. I have also tried emailing and using the online complaints form, but have not been successful.

The issue concerns a planned road closure at Dumfries, DG1 4**, scheduled from 20/04 to 01/05. Residents and local businesses have not received any prior notification or clear communication regarding this closure, and there is currently a lack of information about what is actually happening.

This situation is particularly concerning for me as I have a disabled son who suffers from seizures and requires 24-hour emergency access via this road. In addition, I operate a business from this address, which will also be directly affected.

Could you please provide clarification on the closure, including access arrangements and any emergency provisions? Clear communication to affected residents and businesses would be greatly appreciated.

I would be grateful for an urgent response.

This has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with BT.

You need to contact Openreach, assuming it is they that are closing the road and not the water company or electricity company. No idea why you were directed to BT.

This forum is for BT residential customers.  Digging up the roads will be Openreach.  While BT and Openreach are both part of BT Group, they are separate companies.  This site has no connection or access to Openreach.

I'm not sure if it is appropriate in this case but you could try here and report it as a safety concern:

https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/damage-health-and-safety

(That's also the number Liquorice has given).

You might want to remove your full post code from your post in case that is fairly identifying

@Jane2018  The OP made that post almost a month ago. A tad after the horse has bolted and probably no one cares enough now anyway.

Thanks for flagging that @Jane2018. I've edited the original post to remove the street name and full post code.
