Telephone call saying from BT/EE - Possible scam
Hi all
Just taken a call on my mobile which clearly said from BT with BT logo stating that we all know BT and EE are merging soon and wanting to offer a so called deal even though we are less than halfway through a 2 year contract. This called came through from a landline 01438989238, I googled this number and is stated on various sites its a scam.
Anyone else had this? BTW Ive blocked this number on my phone.

Re: Telephone call saying from BT/EE - Possible scam
I have just received a call about the BT/EE merger. it was from 0800 9566053 and had the BT logo, so should be genuine but the security pin sent was only 4 digits and the caller seemed to know nothing and then put me on hold. It really didn't feel genuine, but did look convincing.

Re: Telephone call saying from BT/EE - Possible scam
Maybe BT are giving out mobile contact numbers to EE to get them to sign up with EE.
Odd as we are less than a year into a two year contract FF broadband with BT
