Upp was an Alt Net Network/Service Provider.
It was owned by some Russian Oligarch but they were forced to sell the Company after Sanctions were put on them after Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine.
Upp was bought out by Liberty Global, who own Virgin Media.
It may or may not be live. Upp were building in my area, which already has an existing VM Network. So not to overlay the Network Liberty told them to halt all builds where VM already cover and to only continue building in areas not covered by Virgins Network.
I’ve actually seen VM Engineers doing installs on what was Upp’s Network.
