logging in to MYBT

Hoping someone can help please, BT can't seem to!

I am an elderly lady and when my desktop computer was set up for me the PC help guy suggested using my BT email to log into emails, and register my Hotmail address for MYBT. Everything worked back then but not now. Can anyone help please? Paying £3 a month for paper bill has been the only way to read information.

I even downloaded the MYBT app to my Mobile phone but that doesn't let me in either. I have tried the hotmail email address and password, and my BT email and password. Both get error message, saying username email or password are incorrect.

We have gone with EE now, I still like to read my emails from the BT webpage. However nothing in the EE app on my phone helps .Many thanks

Re: logging in to MYBT

How long has it been since you were last able to log on?

Are you still a BT customer?

Have you tried logging onto your email account using the direct log on page? Use the email "button" at the top of the page.

Have you tried using the "Forgot log in details" link on the MyBT logon pages?

Re: logging in to MYBT

We have just gone with EE.  I did try forgotten password, but when I put a new password in it still didn't allow me into MYBT   I always log into the BT webpage via the email button at the top. It is really crazy, and driving me crackers! Thanks for replying, I'm grateful for any suggestions. Many thanks

Re: logging in to MYBT

Hi @Lillyann.

Thanks for coming to the community.

Just to check, are you now receiving your broadband or mobile service through EE?

I understand you're already trying to access your BT email through the BT website. If you're having trouble logging in, make sure you're using your BT ID and password. If you've already tried resetting your password and it's still not working, please contact our team, they’ll be happy to help you further.

For more details on what happens to your BT email after moving to EE, check out the BT Community article: What happens to my BT Email if I move from BT to EE.

To view your bills with EE, you’ll need to use the EE app or website. If you haven’t already, you may need to set up a new EE ID using the email address you gave EE when you joined.
