2 Questions

Hi,

I upgraded my broadband to fiber but was it hasn't been changed over (since October). I have recently done some digging and found out the cabinet has no capacity and im on a waiting list? How long is this list?

Upon upgrading, i was forced to "upgrade" the router. This meant i had to pay a postage fee etc etc. I have returned the older Router however the tracker still says it has not been returned and i do not want to be charged when the Royal Mail tracker says it was delivered.  (See XE974602563GB)

Can anybody let me know how long this list will be and how i can get the tracker to update so im not charged?

Re: 2 Questions

@AshleyUK

there is no list  it is a first come first served so you need to keep checking here  https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

and when you see available then place your order

it can take up to 4 weeks for BT to update your account  you could try here

https://www.bt.com/help/contact-bt/account-and-billing/broadband

@imjolly

Thank you for your reply. Regarding the order, i will keep watching and monitoring it as said it could take up to 4 weeks.

Regarding the waiting list, that's not what the i can see, The order tracker quite literally says i have been put on a list. Are you saying its wrong?

Re: 2 Questions

There is no waiting list despite Openreach saying there is, unless it is a recent innovation.

It is a complete unknown when a port would become available as it requires a customer ceasing their service to free up a port.

@licquorice

That is a a bit **bleep** that they tell people there is a list when there is not one. Thank you for your help.

Re: 2 Questions

It's easier to say there is a list than:-  "There are no ports available and it is unknown when one will become free because it depends on some one ceasing their broadband. The ports are allocated on a first come first served basis to all the Internet Providers at the same time so you just need to keep checking and hopefully you will be checking at the right time when one becomes available"

Re: 2 Questions

If you have placed an order and BT have not fulfilled the order you should pester them by calling them to see when the order will be fulfilled. Get them to give you a date and if they fail to achieve that date you may be able to claim compensation.

@gg30340

The activation date was meant to be Mon 13 November, however it says that on the same page where i get the "Waiters List" info from. I'm going to assume they will give me the run around about being added to the non existent list.
