700 minutes calling plan

Hi,

I'm hoping someone or a moderator can help me?

I have the 700 minute calling plan and I'm wanting to cancel it.

But it doesn't give me the option in my online account.

From My BT you should be able to downgrade your calling plan by strangely clicking on the Upgrade button.

Be aware that BT now charge up to £5pm simply for the ability to make PAYG calls, so you may not save as much as you think.

Or to look at it another way, £5/m to have a number and be able to receive calls. 🙂

Thanks for the replies.

So I could cancel my 700 minutes by clicking on upgrade. (Seems crazy)

So if I go to just pay n go I have to pay £5 a month just to receive calls.

That's certainly not a fair pricing plan to me.

Are you also a BT Broadband customer? If so changing to a Pay as You Go call plan may cost you nothing.

Many customers have reported that they have a Pay as You Go calling plan and they are not charged for it. They simply pay for any calls that they make.

You could be lucky, however, I'm not sure why you think it is unreasonable for BT to charge for providing the exchange equipment necessary for you to receive calls.

It is now possible to have broadband without telephony capability.
