Something not right there , Home Essentials 2 is the social tariff and is £23 a month , you seem to have the Halo3+ ‘extra’ which can add a considerable amount to the bill ( AFAIK, in the order of £25-£30 ) but if you are in need of the social tariff , adding such an expensive add on seems excessive , but even with that , the price is way more than the regular monthly fee ….however is this a first bill , or a transitional bill as they can be significantly more than a regular bill

I did place an order for Home Essentials ( I am on Universal Credit) and had to cancel the order due to full fibre being installed (due to personal reasons).
So I have been paying £81.45 a month for Fibre Halo 3+ for a while now. When I compared what my neighbour was getting, Full Fibre 900 with Halo 3+ @ £59.99 a month, I was surprised at that considering what I am being charged.
I agree about FTTC and FTTP, I was told I wouldn’t need any additional equipment forHome Essentials by one sales associate and something completely different by another!
Obviously if someone orders a product, and FTTP is available it’s normally provided ( Openreach wants ISPs to get customers off copper and onto FTTP once it’s available ) and any ‘new’ FTTP needs to be installed so there is ‘extra’ equipment, a new optical cable , a CSP ( block on the wall ) and an ONT ( mains powered device the router connects to ) but FTTP is from the customer point of view, installed for ‘free’
