BT Contact FTTP Broadband

I live in a flat (In my hometown in Suffolk)

My Contract with BT has run out (October 24)
Was £99 a month (1st year) £110 (2nd year)
BT TV (HD)
TNT sports (HD)
Now Entertainment (HD)
Sky Sports (HD)
Netflix (4K)
Broadband 60MBPS
It’s now £140 out of contract price (too expensive can’t really afford it) (going up by £5 in April)

I can’t get it any cheaper till I get FTTP as I refuse to do another 12-24 months FTC Contract with BT or another provided!

FTTP is available in my area Openreach & city fibre for the Houses only! (Flats not available)

So in December I contacted management agency about FTTP Openreach & City Fibre they told me yes sure not a problem will sort!

Was told in January that City fibre & Openreach within the new year will do building survey!

I got told 10th March (Email) that they got in contact with Openreach January who did building survey late Jan early Feb who then gave my management agency a pack about the plans & what work needs to be done with a Wayleaver to sign at the back and a proposed build start date 28th Feb that they agreed to! They sent the forms off & heard nothing since

How Can I speed up the process & get hold of the MDU team to find out when I will be installed I fed of up waiting!

Any ideas guys & girls

Re: BT Contact FTTP Broadband

You need to contact openreach as there is nothing BT RETAIL  or any ISP  can do to  about installing fibre in MDU

https://www.openreach.com/fibre-checker

Re: BT Contact FTTP Broadband

I want to contact the MDU team at Openreach but when I tried BT & Openreach Customer services they couldn’t tell me a date I will be installed or give out direct numbers to MDU team which is annoying lol 😂

I just wanna know how to contact the MDU team

Re: BT Contact FTTP Broadband

Openreach do not deal with the public and any ISP will not have any information about openreach fibre installations. You need to get your building management company to contact openreach

Re: BT Contact FTTP Broadband

Then you need to keep on at your management company as openreach will not deal with individual members of the public

I presume you mean FTTP not FTTC

Re: BT Contact FTTP Broadband

You are ware that you refusing to recontract is just causing yourself more cost right? If you recontracted onto FTTC you can then upgrade to FTTP when available staying out of contract at your choice is just costing you money at this stage

Re: BT Contact FTTP Broadband

I know that! But for example I don’t want to renew my BT contact or join another FTTC Openreach provider if city fibre comes first as will have to pay to end my 24 months contact!

Or will have to pay to to upgrade to FTTP

so annoyingly will wait 😭😭
