BT Contract Run out

My broadband/TV with BT ran out last year I had Sky/BT sports & now Entertainment in my package price gone up way to high

I CBA/Refuse to sign up to another 24 months FTTC contact as FTTP in the area & will be coming soon (Hopefully)

is there any other way I can keep the same package but reduce the cost whilst I wait for FTTP to be installed E.G 30 days rolling contract or this not possible?

Freeholder or Openreach taking their sweet **bleep** time sorting FTTP to my block of flats (Available to houses for some time) keep emailing freeholders once a month to either he ignored or told there is nothing we can do until OR contact us & we won’t discussing this further

Re: BT Contract Run out

@ITFCJosh  You could try negotiating the current price of your sports package but whether you’ll succeed is another matter.

Or ask to drop the sport and entertainment package completely and then take out a zero contract rolling monthly on NowTV. Obviously, all cost dependent against what you’re currently paying.

Re: BT Contract Run out

Sky sports price won’t change!

I want to reduce my BT broadband/TV price to what I was paying in contract, but on a rolling contract,

As when Full Fibre arrives I will join that ASAP

Re: BT Contract Run out

If you want BT to drop your price for the same package you have now, assuming they would do that,  you would need to start a new contract.

Once in a new contract when FTTP arrives you would then be able to regrade to that.

Thank you for the reply!

I don’t want new contract as if City Fibre comes first i will be joining them, so don’t want to be tied down to another 24 months contract but want to reduce my bill

Re: BT Contract Run out

What incentive is there for BT to reduce your bill if it thinks you are going to move to City Fibre?

Ain't going to happen.

Why do you think you were given a discount for being in a contract and why do you think you lost that discount when you came out of contract?

If you were a business would you reduce the cost of a customer's package for "free" without knowing if they were going to stay with your company long enough to make the reduction in the price viable over a period of time.

If you do not want to enter into a contract then you will have no chance of reducing your package cost, that is unless you want to leave BT and go to another provider, which will require you entering into a contract with the new provider.

@ITFCJosh

You will just need to suck it up in that case or find some company that will offer cheap no contract broadband which if you do find one post back who it is as I'm sure everyone will be interested.

Edit: I forgot to mention that you are already on a 30 day contract with BT. If you weren't your package would have stopped when your mimimum term contract ended.
