BT TV box retuns

Hi I recently had issues with my bttv live TV and an advisor erroneously sent a new EE tv box to rectify the issue which didn't help unfortunately. I was then asked to return my old box which I did but unfortunately I have misplaced the proof of postage and now I'm getting messages saying I'm going to be charged.  Is anyone able to help me with this? Surely BT should have a copy of the tracking number they sent somewhere? Aaargh help!

Re: BT TV box retuns

Sadly not, the info BT have would be a bag was sent to you. Proof of return is only available from the post office and it is on the return info you need to keep ahold of the receipt as proof of return.  If it has not been marked as returned in around 3 weeks then it may have been lost by royal mail, again you would need the tracking info to prove you sent it.  Without it BT would be correct in charging you for none return of the equipment as you cannot prove it was sent back to them.

Ok. There are several posts of a similar nature on here where a mod was able to figure a solution for this very problem. 140 quid for a waste of time is hard to swallow.
